Creative Against the Climate Change
Competition in three categories (painting, poetry, and essay) is to be organized to draw attention to the negative effects of “climate change and environmental pollution”. This competition aims to
a) Raise awareness about climate change and our environment
b) Bring different cultures together and support the development of Cambuslang
c) In the post-COVID era, facilitate the socialization of Cambuslang society in different areas
Who can apply for the competition?
The painting, poetry, and essay competition is open for all students of primary and secondary schools in Cambuslang.
All works should be both authentic and about “climate change and environmental pollution” in some way.
The target audience of the competition
Age groups for the painting competition: Every student from P3 to P7.
Age groups for the poetry and essay competition: Every student from S1 to S6
Deadline: 12.11.2021
Competition Rules:
1) For the Painting Competition
a) Each participant can enter the competition with only one painting.
b) The painting must be 35*50 cm (standard painting paper)
c) Watercolor, guaj, pastel.
2) For the Poetry and Essay Competition
a) Each participant can enter the competition with only one work.
b) The work must be typed (Times New Roman, size 12) or must be legibly printed in ink. This should not exceed two A4 pages in length.
c) Essays and poems must be written in a decent language in terms of style, expression, and content.
Terms and Conditions
1) On the back of the works, the student's name, phone number, and school will be written clearly.
2) Works previously submitted for another competition or previously published will not be considered.

Prizes
1) The winner in each age group will receive £150 and a certificate of appreciation
2) The first runner up in each age group will receive £100 and a certificate of appreciation
3) The second runner up in each age group will receive £50 and a certificate of appreciation
4) Special Nurture Prize: £50 and a certificate of appreciation
